Yemen envoy to UN says Iran destabilizes Middle East

2018/04/17 | 21:40

(Iraq Now News)-

UN envoy to the United Nations has accused Iran of attempting to destabilize the Arab nations and intervening into the internal affairs of neighboring countries.

Addressing the security council, Khaled Al-Yamani added that the UN security council had failed to exercise pressures on the Iranian regime to stop its schemes in the region.

Tehran trains, funds and provides Houthi Militias with weapons to overthrow the internationally-recognized government of President Abedrabbo Mansur Hadi.

Yamani voiced hopes for further cooperation with the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith to improve humanitarian situation in his country.

Griffith, who stressed the importance of peaceful solution in Yemen, voiced concerns towards the Houthi missiles against Saudi Arabia.
