Security forces thwart 2 ISIS attacks in Baqubah

2018/06/15 | 14:40

(Iraq Now News)- Head of Maqdadiah Council Adnan al-Tamimi said on Friday that security forces have thwarted two ISIS terrorist attacks in Baqubah city.

Tamimi pointed out that the attacks aimed to target two security checkpoints Northeast of Baqubah.

Although Prime Minister Haider Abadi announced full liberation of Iraqi lands and the end of war against ISIS in December 2017, Iraqi cities are witnessing terrorist attacks targeting civilians and security forces.
