DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:00 A.M.) – On Tuesday, a large gathering of Islamic State insurgents conducted a succesful hit-and-run operation in northern Iraq after targeting a military outpost south of Al-Abth town.
The jihadist militants attacked a military entrenchment supposedly controlled by the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
Fortunately for the latter fighting force, the PMU troops managed to flee before being overrun by ISIS’ convoy:
Although the PMU sustained zero casualties, ISIS did secure spoils of war following the raid.
Before withdrawing from the site, the jihadists hastily torched the encampment.
The photos were released by Amaq Agency which is considered the primary media wing for the Islamic State.
