Halbusi urges unifying global, regional efforts to reconstruct Iraqi cities

(Iraq Now News)- Newly elected pro-Iran Parliament Speaker Mohamed al-Halbusi called for unifying regional and international efforts to reconstruct Iraqi cities that lack services.During his meeting with the European Union ambassador to Iraq, Ramon Blecua, Halbusi reviewed the updates of the political situation in Iraq and the region.The two officials also discussed the relations between Iraq and the EU, especially on the parliamentary level.They also reviewed international and regional efforts to support Iraq in its reconstruction and plans to combat terrorism.Blecua praised the role played by the Iraqi Parliament in backing the democratic process in the country.

He also highlighted the importance of enhancing coordination between the EU and Iraq on all levels.
