Hadi: Iran obstacle to region's security

2018/10/13 | 23:30

(Iraq Now News)- Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi said Saturday that Iran is an obstacle to security in Yemen and the entire region.

In his speech on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, Hadi said Saudi Arabia is leading the Arab and Islamic world to a new station against those conspiring against it, stressing that Iran and its support of Yemen’s Houthi militants is an obstacle to the success of the Gulf initiative to resolve the Yemeni crisis. He added that Iran rejects the Gulf initiative and says it will not allow its success, in defiance of the decisions of the international community against Iran’s role in destabilizing regional and international security. The Yemeni president said, "There are still parties that receive money from Iran to return us to point zero in Aden," adding that he would not allow for renewed fighting again in Aden as had happened in Sanaa.Houthis are trained and funded by Iran to overthrow the internationally recognized government of Hadi.In 2015, an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia was formed to oust the Shia militants from Yemen.
