Russia carries out dozens of airstrikes on Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor (Syria News) Several civilians were either killed or wounded, on Saturday, in airstrikes carried out by Russian warplane, in eastern Deir Ezzor, local source told Qasioun News.

The source informed that Russian warplanes carried out dozens of air strikes on the villages of Murat, Khasham, Mazlom, Jadid Akidat and Tabya, while conducted other air strikes on Mayadin city, in eastern Deir Ezzor.

Meanwhile, Syrian army forces, backed by foreign militias, are conducting security operations to secure the outskirts of the area and seize Muraiya village.

It is noteworthy that Russian warplanes intensified their air strike, after the Syrian regime forces captured Deir Ezzor and managed to break the siege imposed by Islamic State on the city since 2014.
