Iran FM Mohammad Javad Zarif Ensured his Support for Iraqi Government

Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif; headed a high-ranking politico-economic delegation arrived in Baghdad on Sunday.

Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Iraqi PM Adel Abdul-Mahdi and his Iraqi counterpart Mohammad Ali Alhakim yesterday, and it is expected that he will hold meetings with Iraqi president Barham Salih and Iraq’s Council of Representatives Speaker Mohammed al-Halbusi.

“Iran FM Mohammad Javad Zarif, arrived in Baghdad in an official visit, after his arrival; he met with Iraqi PM Adel Abdul-Mhadi and ensured his support for the Iraqi government, Iraq independency and democratic achievements,” announced Iran embassy in Baghdad.

Zarifi and his high-leveled political and economic delegation; after leaving Baghdad will pay Kurdistan Region a visit, to hold talk with Kurdish officials about commercial and economic ties.
