KDP and PUK Hold Meeting in Erbil about new Government Formation

Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) held a high-level meeting in Kurdistan capital Erbil on Monday; to discuss the formation of the new government.

“KDP and PUK political Bureaus headed by Kurdistan PM Nechirvan Barzani and first Deputy Secretary-General of the PUK Kosrat Rasul Ali, started today in Erbil to prepare the discussions of the new cabinet formation which are expected to be held between the two parties’ delegation this week,” said Waar correspondent in Erbil.

According to Waar information; KDP have asked PUK to announce its candidates in today’s meeting, and set the date of the Kurdistan Parliament session.

“Discussions of forming the new government through phone calls, visits, and relations continuous; and a suitable environment has been provided for these discussions, it is expected that KDP will start its third round of discussions and the first meeting will be with PUK,” said the member of KDP delegation Farsat Sofi.
