Russia prepares Sharaa to replace Assad

(Iraq Now News)- A US official in charge of coordinating with the Russian side regarding Syria says Moscow was preparing former VP and foreign minister Farouk al-Sharaa to succeed dictator Bashar Assad. 

The official added that Sharaa would be appointed as leader of the Syrian delegation in Sochi.

The official who has not been identified stressed that Russia would evacuate all Iranian forces from border areas with Israel.
