KRG PM meets with Vatican’s Pope Francis

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met with Pope Francis on Friday at the Holy See before heading to another meeting with the Vatican officials.

Barzani is accompanied by Chief of Staff to Kurdistan Region Presidency, Fuad Hussein, and Kurdistan Region envoy to Italy, Rezan Qader.

The Kurdish premier is expected to meet with Vatican’s Secretary for Relations with States Archbishop Paul Gallagher.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) official website is yet to publish the details of the discussions between PM Barzani and Pope Francis.
