Former HDP co-chair Kemalbay detained in Ankara over remarks on Afrin

Serpil Kemalbay, former pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair, was arrested in Ankara on Tuesday by the Turkish authorities for allegedly “spreading terrorist propaganda” during her party’s congress, according to a security source.

The arrest warrant came as part of the investigation over her remarks on Afrin Operation at the party’s third ordinary congress on Sunday.
