
Syrian air defence "confronted" an Israeli reconnaissance plane and forced it to leave Syrian air space, state media agency SANA reported on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred over the town of Quneitra, in southwest Syria.No further details have yet been reported.Tensions between the two countries have skyrocketed since an Israeli F-16 jet was shot down over Syria, reportedly by Iranian-led forces.Israel had been carrying out raids on Syria after it intercepted what it said was an Iranian drone entering its airspace from Syria.More to follow soon
