Syrian army recaptures Korum Hill near Deir Ezzor

(Iraq Now News)- Syrian army forces.

Deir Ezzor (Syria News) The Syrian army forces and their allied militias managed, on Thursday, to recapture Korum Hill area, east of Deir Ezzor Airbase, Qasioun News reported.

Meanwhile, Islamic State-owned media outlets revealed that the group’s militants captured 7 Syrian army soldiers, including a high-rank Commander, near the village of Bughalia, while Russian warplanes carried out at least 15 air strikes on the village, causing only damages to properties.

The Islamic State group also managed to capture 15 other army members in the village of Jafra.

Moreover, Russian warplanes conducted several air strikes on the villages and towns, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, using cluster bombs.

Earlier today, Russia deployed its military police members in the regime-held city of Deir Ezzor.
