Greetings Message to followers of the various Orthodox churches on the occasion of Christmas

(Iraq Now News)-  Special Representative of the United Nation Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG), Mr.

Ján Kubiš, sends his greetings to the Iraqi people, in particular the follower of the Syrian Orthodox, Roman Orthodox, Ancient Assyrians of the East and Armenian Orthodox churches on the occasion of Christmas.

“I would like to wish all of you who are celebrating Christmas on the 6th and 7th January a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” Mr.

Kubiš said.

“I do hope that all of you, and all other Iraqi people, who were displaced as a result of the presence of the terrorist Daesh, will go back to your villages and homes and resume normal life as soon as possible,” SRSG Kubiš added.

“Let us also hope that 2018 will bring total peace and tranquility to this beautiful country,” he further added.
